I simply love browsing on Etsy. There’s so much whimsy and sweetness on it and whenever you stumble across something, it’s like a secret treasure you can hold on to. In Home Love by Megan Morton, she mentioned that we shouldn’t guard the secret of our favourite vendors; if we do, we are doing a disservice to both the vendor and ourselves. By guarding these secrets, we cannot help these designers flourish as they need the support of fans and customers. So I’m sharing with you one of my favourite sellers on Etsy: Made by Manos.
Most of Manos’s works are created using fine bone china. Bone china is a particular type of porcelain, that through the inclusion of bone ash, has a beautiful translucent, yet sturdy, finish. When you hold it up to the light, bone china wares simply glow.
My favourite thing about Manos’s works is that elements that would normally render a vase or bowl “broken” are incorporated as artistic embellishments.
